Bumble Campus Ambassador
During the fall of my sophomore year, I represented Bumble as a Campus Ambassador at Providence College. I, along with two other ambassadors on campus, held the responsibility of encouraging students to download the Bumble App. Through hosting events, guerilla marketing, social media posts, and passing out apparel, we spread the Bumble mission around campus. Bumble empowers users to make connections with confidence, whether it be on Bumble, BumbleBFF or BumbleBIZ. Below are social media posts of mine during my time as a campus ambassador.
ACADEMIC PROJECTS AT PROVIDENCE COLLEGE
AMA COLLEGIATE CASE COMPETITION
MARY KAY COSMETICS
STARBUCKS BRAND ANALYSIS
For my Principles of Marketing class, which I took in the fall of my freshman year, I collaborated with four other Providence College students to create a marketing proposal for Mary Kay Cosmetics. This project was a part of the AMA Collegiate Case Competition. We developed an integrated marketing plan to increase the number of Independent Beauty Consultants and sales amongst 18-24 year olds. This plan involved strategically allocating a given budget of $10 million to different marketing tactics over a 12 month period. In the fall of my sophomore year I took Buyer Behavior. The course revolved around a semester long project which was a Brand Analysis for the company of our choice. I was placed in a group with four other Providence College business students, and together we chose to do our Brand Analysis on Starbucks. For this project, we analyzed the weaknesses of the company and created solutions that would enhance the brand. In order to come up with solutions we utilized a variety of research methods including surveys, focus groups, and in-depth interviews. Our group was selected to present our Starbucks Brand Analysis at the Annual Celebration for Student Scholarship and Creativity in the Spring of 2019. BARNARD GENERAL STORE PROMOTIONAL PLAN
My third, and most recent, marketing project was a Promotional Strategy Plan. For my Promotional Strategy class, students were put into groups and assigned the task of creating a Promotional Strategy Plan for the Barnard General Store (BGS) in Vermont. For this plan we had to manage the promotional efforts of raising $750,000 to support BGS. BGS is the longest running store in New England located in Barnard, a close-knit community in Vermont. BGS closed for a short period of time in 2013, but thanks to families and friends they raised enough money to re-open the doors. Through identifying our strategies and objectives, our team re-identified a target audience for BGS and came up with ideas for advertising, public relations, digital media, and sales promotion.
